Killer Penguin Bacon & Beer Bread Stuffing

Whether you celebrate Turkey Day with family or throw a Friendsgiving bash, the side dishes are what many look forward to most. Add some flair to a traditional side dish by trying this Bacon and Beer Bread Stuffing from The BeeronessWe took it to the next level by adding Killer Penguin Barleywine to add a malty depth of flavor. 


For The Beer Bread: 

3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup honey
12 ounces Killer Penguin Barleywine
1/4 cup melted butter 

For The Stuffing: 

1/2 lbs bacon, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 sweet white onion, chopped
1 celery rib, chopped
1 large carrot, chopped
2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage leaves
1/4 cup chopped Italian parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt (more if you used unsalted broth) 
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup dried cherries
