Mug Shots - Emily Cramer

Take a peek beyond the beer you love to drink with our blog series titled, "Mug Shots." There are a lot of folks here at Boulder Beer who play a huge role in our day to day success. This is our way of introducing you to the team that makes it all happen. It’s time for you to meet one of our Lab Interns, Servers, and Tour Guides, Emily Cramer!

Emily has lived in Colorado her entire life and grew up in Littleton with her parents and little sister who “is a brat.” Emily wanted to be sure that was included, but Boulder Beer Co thinks that her little sister is probably a wonderful person. She graduated from School of Mines in August of 2018 with a degree in Biochemical Engineering and quickly realized engineering wasn’t her passion as a 21 year old.

A job in the beer industry seemed like a fun experience, so she took an unpaid lab internship at Boulder Beer Co about 6 months ago. “I get paid in beer for the internship, but needed some money so I moved up to the front of the house about 2 weeks ago.” Her second day in both positions were eventful for sure, getting sprayed with yeast and then serving on our packed St. Pat’s Puppy Parade. You can bet she had an order of Cajun Fries and a Nitro Mojo after that shift.

5 months ago Emily adopted a Border Collie mix named Ferguson and they are moving to Broomfield where “I can finally not live at my parents’ house.” When she is not at the brewery, you can find Emily skiing Mary Jane (it’s a territory of Winter Park Resort), drinking beer on patios, training Ferguson, or watching her favorite show The Bachelor. She is also an intern at Velocity Sciences where she is working to cure cancer – wow! Eventually she wants to get a full-time position in the medical engineering field, but will be totally okay with putting that aside for her “real goal” of being a contestant on The Bachelor.

Thanks for all your do Emily, we appreciate you!
