Mug Shots - Jeb Bodine

Take a peek beyond the beer you love to drink with our blog series titled, "Mug Shots." There are a lot of folks here at Boulder Beer who play a huge role in our day to day success. This is our way of introducing you to the team that makes it all happen. It’s time for you to meet our Denver Area Sales Representative, Jeb Bodine!

Jeb was born and raised in the small town of Hazen, North Dakota, with his parents and six other siblings – Jeb being #5 out of 7. He attended The University of North Dakota and in true “Bodine way” he graduated with a Communication/Advertising degree (Summa Cum Laude) with no plan and quickly joined a couple of his siblings in Boulder, CO. “My older brother Fran moved down to Colorado for a job and the rest of us just followed. There are five of us (Bodines) in the Denver area so we are all very close and consider ourselves friends first, siblings second.”

In March of 2018 Jeb took over the Denver Area Sales Rep position and has loved all of the personal interaction and relationship building that’s involved in sales. He previously worked at The Walnut Brewery for 13 year as a server and continued at Boulder Beer on Walnut until his career change into his current position. Building personal relationships is something that he’s been doing for years in the service industry and now “instead of people coming to talk to me about beer in the restaurant, I go to them to talk about beer.”

In his free time Jeb likes to do whatever fun thing is happening nearby, a go with the flow kind of guy. He usually winds up at Rockies games, concerts, tasting/drinking beer, or camping. Jeb and his Fiancé Emma just took a 10 day trip to Regensberg, Germany. They drank their way around the town with Jeb writing it off as market research. “Helles, Dunkel, and Weiss styles were the most popular brews and I only found one spot with a very small craft beer list.” Welcome back, sit back, and enjoy your favorite beer - Due East!

The most memorable moment of Jeb’s time with Boulder Beer is when he first moved to Colorado in 2001. Tess, his older sister and Boulder Beer’s Director of Marketing was working the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and invited Jeb and Fran along for the ride. (Fun Fact: Jeb’s younger sister Joy also works at the brewery as the Office Manager). They stayed for the Sunday shows without lodging plans for the extra night, so they ended up pitching a tent in a local's backyard they met that weekend. Coincidentally there was a torrential downpour all night long with rain blowing sideways, thunder, lighting, and all while taking shelter in a kids sized tent. Their feet were sticking out the door and they were soaked to the bone. They waited out the storm with good beer and laughter and made it through.

Thanks Jeb, for all you do! We appreciated you!
