Mug Shots: Jordan Daniels
Take a peek beyond the beer you love to drink with our blog series titled, "Mug Shots." There are a lot of folks here at Boulder Beer who play a huge role in our day to day success. This is our way of introducing you to the team that makes it all happen. It’s time for you to meet our Warehouse/Shipping Manager, Jordan Daniels!
Jordan, along with his twin and best friend Josh, began their life in “maybe the tiniest river city in Illinois” – Marseilles. To Jordan, family is everything. Just walk into his office to see all the cute pictures of his family, especially his niece Jillian. His mother is from the Chicago suburbs, and his dad “is a Pittsburgh boy at heart.” Jordan moved to Colorado a little over a year and half ago with his furry best friend Buddy Daniels (aka The King of Springer Spaniels).
“I initially took a job at Coors, but my friend Kaci Reardon quickly helped me find my way to Boulder, CO and Boulder Beer Company.” When Jordan’s not getting our beer to the rest of the country he enjoys playing music as he’s a “musician at heart.” The Hammond organ and the piano are his instruments of choice and he also loves to sing. “I played in a rock band called ‘Afternoon Moon’ for several years in the Midwest before moving to Colorado.” The band toured relentlessly in the Midwest and even came to Colorado a couple of times a year, which is how Jordan fell in love with the state. Being the wildcard, catching shows at Red Rocks, brewing kombucha, and hiking with Buddy are some other activities he also loves to do.
When asked what his favorite Boulder Beer brew was he replied with “that’s tough.” For not being an IPA guy he’s a big fan of the Slope Style Red IPA. The pilot system also leads to some amazing beers. On the top of his list are Joe Colombe’s Highlander and Logan Sellers’ Honololo Pineapple Pale Ale.
His favorite memory of Boulder Beer will be Bill Pringle. “Bill became very special to me,” so much so that Jordan brewed a beer in his honor – Behave Yourself Coffee Blonde Ale. “The connection I’ve made with him and his family means a lot to me.” Jordan feels loved and at home here at Boulder Beer. “I would not be where I am today without Kaci’s help. I would not be where I am without the help of a lot of people here. For that I am extremely grateful.”
Thanks Jordan, for all you do! We appreciate you!
