Mug Shots: Meet Eitan Lewin
Take a peek beyond the beer you love to drink with our blog series titled, "Mug Shots." There are a lot of folks here at Boulder Beer who play a huge role in our day to day success. This is our way of introducing you to the team that makes it all happen. It's time for you to meet Mountain Sales Representative, Eitan Lewin!
Eitan was born in Israel and his parents are from Argentina. Eitan grew up in Wisconsin and made the move to Colorado in 2008 to become a white water rafting guide (which he has been doing for the past 10 years!). “I came for the summers and stayed for the winters,” says Eitan.
“But the first trip I ever took to Colorado didn’t end up being as great as it is now.” Eitan lost his keys in the river while rafting, his dog was attacked, his truck broke down and someone broke into his home back in Wisconsin.
As an avid homebrewer looking to get into the craft beer industry, friends of Eitan encouraged him to apply for his current position at Boulder Beer in 2015. He got the job and started working in his current territory in July of 2015. In the year and a half that Eitan has been slinging suds for Colorado’s First Craft Brewery, he has made some great memories. One of Eitan’s favorite memories came in his first month! He worked the anniversary party and quickly realized how welcoming and tight-knit the Boulder Beer Crew is.
For the rest of 2017 Eitan is looking forward to more can releases from Boulder Beer (be on the lookout for Hola Maria Mexican-style Ale, Bump “n” Rind Watermelon Kolsch and Slope Style Red IPA all in cans for 2017), as well as adding bottles of Later Dude to his beer cellar. Outside of work Eitan is also looking forward to a killer rafting season, not shoveling nine feet of snow, driving around his new Jeep (named Rusty) and the birth of his first child!
Eitan and his wife Mary are expecting a baby girl in May of this year. They also have three furry members of their family, their dogs Floyd (14 years old), Kwincy (seven years old) and Solly (three years old).
You can usually find Eitan drinking a Shake Chocolate Porter on nitro or a Mojo IPA. His favorite dish on the Pub menu is the Left Coast sandwich. Eitan also brews beer at home and one of his favorite styles is fruit sours. He currently has an Imperial Stout aged in new oak for two years at his place and has developed great recipes for a Peanut Butter Porter and Ginger Saison!
Thanks Eitan, for all you do! We appreciate you!
