Mug Shots: Meet Meg DeSalle

Meg Festival low res.jpg

Take a peek beyond the beer you love to drink with our blog series titled, "Mug Shots." There are a lot of folks here at Boulder Beer who play a huge role in our day to day success. This is our way of introducing you to the team that makes it all happen. It’s time for you to meet our Denver Sales Rep, Meg DeSalle!

Meg is originally from the small East Coast town of Windham, Maine. She was born and raised there along with her three brothers and numerous animals. You would’ve thought she lived on a farm with dogs Barnie and Jake, cat Zazo, hamsters, birds, and “a bunch of bunnies.” She transferred to the Johnson and Wales University – Denver Campus in 2010 and has called Colorado her home ever since. Meg graduated with a degree in Sports Entertainment Event Management with a minor in Sports and Entertainment Marketing. After working in the sports industry for a year she realized it wasn’t the right fit.

As the self-proclaimed “Taylor Swift of beer” she began her journey as a beer buyer at establishments like World of Beer, LowDown, and Tivoli. Jessica Graefenhain, one of our most seasoned and recently retired sales reps, took a seat at the bar Meg was working at and informed her of the open sales rep position at Boulder Beer. Meg will be celebrating her 2 years with Boulder Beer on November 1st!

Sundays during football season are set aside for her NFL addiction. On other days of the week she enjoys cooking, – “I’m a fantastic cook” – traveling, and beer of course! Her two nephews, Dominic Kalani and Landon Aleka, bring so much joy into her life and tries to visit them as much as possible.

They are pretty awesome kids, but we aren’t sure they’ll have as cool of a 9th birthday as their aunt Meg. Meg wanted her birthday party to be in her grandparent’s pub, and after partying all day her friends each got their booth of choice to sleep in for the night. One of her favorite memories from working at Boulder Beer is the Steamboat OktoberWest Festival 2016 “that’s all that needs to be said.”

If you ask Meg what her favorite Boulder Beer brew is right now, she’ll say “Bump ‘n’ Rind, but if you ask me in the winter, definitely Irish Blessing.” She is excited for the new fun styles being brewed at the Walnut, specifically Due East New England Style IPA. We’ll let you guess what football team is her favorite!

Thanks Meg, for all you do! We appreciate you!
