Mug Shots - Patrick Knight

Take a peek beyond the beer you love to drink with our blog series titled, "Mug Shots." There are a lot of folks here at Boulder Beer who play a huge role in our day to day success. This is our way of introducing you to the team that makes it all happen. It’s time for you to meet the Manager of the Pub on Wilderness, Patrick Knight!

Patrick was born in Fairfax, Virginia (just outside of Washington D.C.), but only lived there until he was 6 months old. His family then moved to California and ended up bouncing back and forth between Utah and Colorado. Patrick attended Fairview High School in Boulder and graduated in 2006 while being involved in both soccer and lacrosse. After that he graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2010 with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Geology.

He has been working at restaurants since he was 14 years old and hasn’t looked back. “Meeting really cool people and working in such a fast paced environment where every day is different are only a few of the reasons I love being in the restaurant industry.” There are a couple of notable places that Patrick has worked including Chautauqua Dining Hall and Southern Sun Pub & Brewery. He has been at Boulder Beer for 1 year and is excited for the newly designed cans to hit the market!

When he is not at The Pub, Patrick “likes to spend as little time as possible indoors when it’s nice out” which in his case, is all the time. Skiing in the winter, fly fishing in the summer, and just about any other outdoor sports in between, he’s got all seasons covered. Patrick’s mom, dad, and super-cute labradoodle Booker live in California, while his sister, brother-in-law, and 2 year old nephew live in Denver. Getting his nephew started early on his love for the outdoors, Patrick bought him his very first bike!

One of his favorite events to work for Boulder Beer is the Beer and Wine Fest at the Denver County Fair. There are so many unique events within the fair including roller derby, LARP’ing (Live Action Role Playing), a mullet 5k and much more. Make sure to stop by and say hi on July 14th from 4-7pm! If you see Patrick in the Pub you may just see him sipping on his favorite brew, Pulp Fusion and chowing down on a Brewer’s Salad with Ahi Tuna.

Thanks Patrick, for all you do! We appreciate you!
