Mug Shots - Terren Flanagan
Take a peek beyond the beer you love to drink with our blog series titled, "Mug Shots." There are a lot of folks here at Boulder Beer who play a huge role in our day to day success. This is our way of introducing you to the team that makes it all happen. It’s time for you to meet one of our servers at the Pub on Wilderness, Terren Flanagan!
Terren is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada – and “not some suburb on the outskirts.” He loved how fun the city is and the fact that no matter the time of day there was always something to do. In 2012 he decided to move to Colorado and put himself through school at University of Colorado Boulder. Like most people that move to Colorado, it’s tough trying to imagine living anywhere else.
Growing up snowboarding in Mammoth, Terren was excited to hit the slopes in the Rockies. During the winter you won’t see much of him unless you are skiing and snowboarding with him! Once he graduates in 2019 with a degree in Integrated Physiology and a minor in Marketing “I would love to work in the ski and snowboard industry.” Beer and snowboarding, what more do you need in life?
With about two years in at Boulder Beer a few favorite memories were at the top of his list, but a holiday celebration after party with co-workers takes the cake. “It was my first holiday party with Boulder Beer and my boss, Brady was singing karaoke at the Outback (a favorite bar for Boulder Beer staff). He was getting so into it that he started swinging the microphone around like a lasso and hit the mic stand and knocked that and a few other things over. An employee from the Outback then cut him off from karaoke for the rest of the night.”
In his spare time Terren enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and all kinds of adventures. “I am definitely a more spontaneous trip planner, so I don’t have too many trips or activities planned out for the future.” The only thing he’s got on the agenda now is a trip to Jackson Hole in February and the excitement of tax season! Once the tax money hits his account Terren likes to drink a few Due East New England-Style IPAs or Irish Blessing Oak-Aged Coffee Stouts if it’s on tap (which it will be beginning on January 11th at 5pm). A Left Coast Grilled Chicken Sandwich on Sourdough is what you can usually find him eating at the Pub.
